At nearly 600 acres, Prospect Park is the largest park in Brooklyn. The east side of the park has few entrances and a fence that is haphazardly patched about every ten feet. The west side of the park has a higher quality, consistent, and generally more attractive stone border. Not coincidentally, the average income in the neighborhoods bordering the east side of the park is less than half that of the west side. While building walls has been a central theme of 2016, this one was chosen by popular vote as number one for removal and redesign.
